# Evidence Tasks

As part of any compliance program, an organization should be ready for internal or external audits. With any program, creating policies and procedures are the first step to a <mark style="color:blue;">**good compliance program**</mark> but are not sufficient . Organizations also continuously need to collect and document evidence of compliance against their stated policies.&#x20;

<mark style="color:orange;">**Evidence Tasks**</mark> involve systematically collecting, storing, and managing evidence for compliance and security audits. These activities include gathering evidence from various sources, organizing and storing it.
